Dr. Shashi Rawat is a Principal Scientist and In-Charge of the Computer Aided Design (CAD) Cell at ICAR-CIAE Bhopal. He oversees the design and development of agricultural equipment using advanced CAD tools like Pro/ENGINEER for solid modeling and structural analysis. He has 24 years or research experience in the field of ICT, Bioinformatics, Geographical Information System (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS), Artificial Intelligence, Databases, Networking, Web based applications, Decision Support Systems (DSS), etc. He has contributed significantly in the development of Smart Potato Portal, several E-Books on Potato and Decision support tools. He was the member of Potato Genome Sequencing Consortium and was instrumental in assembling Potato Chromosome-2. He has received many awards like ICAR multidisciplinary team research award, IPA- Kaushalaya Sikka Memorial Award, Leadership Award (IT NEXT 100), IPA- Chandra Prabha Singh Young Scientist Award, Best Worker Award in Scientific category, etc. He has published various research papers in national and international journals.
